Coval introduces its Lemax line of mini vacuum pumps
Engineering360 News Desk | July 30, 2021Manufacturer of suction cups, venturi, vacuum pumps and peripheral components, Coval has introduced its new Lemax IO series of mini vacuum pumps with its IO LINK communication interface.
According to the manufacturer, the mini vacuum pumps communicate with their environment via air saving control (ASC) technology, which ensures intelligent vacuum control by halting air consumption when the set vacuum level is achieved. As such, they are adaptable to a number of applications including packaging, robotics and plastics processing. Additionally, the mini pumps are fully compatible with Industry 4.0 automation.

Likewise, the IO-Link interface allows for real-time communication between Lemax IO vacuum pumps and Ethernet/IP, PROFINET and EtherCAT, for instance. IO-Link also allows for continued diagnostics, centralized programming and pump control.
The ASC technology produces energy savings between 75% and 99% depending upon application and analyzes the application, adapting to impermeable or porous parts to optimize operation and energy consumption.
The Lemax IO pumps, which are compact in size, feature all of the necessary functions integrated into a single module, including:
- pressure regulation
- solenoid valves
- anti-clogging open silencer
- electronic vacuum switch
- M8 connector (direct plug and play connection)
- adjustable blowing
