Omnetics Connector Corporation has over 30 years of experience designing and manufacturing miniature, high-reliability connectors. Omnetics is focused on Micro-miniature and Nano-miniature high-reliability electronic connectors and interconnection systems. We design and assemble our connectors and assemblies at our facility in Minneapolis, Minnesota, USA, that includes in-house automatic machining and over-molding equipment.

Omnetics continues to develop connector solutions to address the design engineer’s need to minimize space, reduce weight, and maximize performance in their devices used in dismounted soldier, satellites, C4ISTAR technologies, and unmanned systems programs that meet the need for reliable and safe operations.

Omnetics offers a wide range of miniature and ultra-miniature connectors to suit your needs. Micro connectors transmit 3 amps per contact and are spaced at 0.050” (1.27 mm) centerlines, whereas Nano connectors transmit 1 amp per contact and are spaced at 0.025” (0.64 mm) centerlines. D-shaped connectors, strip connectors, and circular connectors are available in both Micro and Nano configurations. Standard and COTS parts are available, in addition to application-specific designs.

Omnetics also designs and manufactures high-speed connectors for applications requiring reliability and durability. Ethernet, HDMI, Cat6a, Coax, and USB 3.1 connectors are available with Omnetics’ well-known durability and small sizes.

Omnetics’ connectors are also equipped with our custom, patented Flex-Pin contact design. The Flex Pin is ideal for extreme environments because of its high tolerance for shock and vibration. It is designed to have four points of contact while mated in the socket, which ensures a continuous signal. Flex Pins from Omnetics are tempered Beryllium Copper spring pins that exceed the military specifications for durability. They are plated in gold, which extends their mating and de-mating capability to over 2,000 mating cycles. The material makeup of the Flex Pin also allows it to stay mated in extreme temperatures: from -55ºC to 125ºC.
