In celebration of Tsubaki's 100th anniversary in 2017, they launched their eighth generation of drive chains with higher functionality and quality. Tsubaki launched the improved G8 Neptune Series chain, which employs a newly developed surface treatment. It features the same high corrosion resistance as the previous Neptune Series chain, but with added corrosion resistance to alkaline chemicals often used for cleaning and disinfecting food equipment. This provides the series with a wider application range.

Tsubaki also launched the new Lambda Chain. With the introduction of an in-house integrated manufacturing line, they upgraded the lubricant in the special oil impregnated bushings to use NSF-H1 certified lube for use with food equipment. This gives the new G8 Lambda Chain twice the wear life of previous Lambda Chain.

The new G8 Heavy Duty Chain marks the first upgrade for this series since its launch in 1966. To increase the handleability of Heavy Duty RS-HT Roller Chain, which features higher tensile strength, Tsubaki introduced slip-fit connecting links using their’s ring coining process. The RS-HT Series also utilizes solid bushings to double the wear life. The G8 Series RS Roller Chains use a new anti-rust pre-lube uniquely developed by Tsubaki to reduce tackiness and improve wear life by 20%. This makes the chain easier to handle and improves performance.

With 100 years of chain know-how in their DNA, Tsubaki will continue to develop products that provide solutions, while the delivering best value, quality and service to customers around the world.
