Solids Control Without the Vibrations

13 November 2017

Source: Cubility ASSource: Cubility ASOperators are experiencing increased drilling performance with a revolutionary solids control system designed to replace shale shakers. The MudCube is a next-generation solids control device that efficiently removes more drilling cuttings, increases drilling fluid recovery rates and minimizes the amount of waste generated.

The Norwegian company, Cubility AS, hopes to revolutionize drilling operations and the waste and solids control issues that accompany them. Their innovative design uses high air flow and a vacuum to pull drilling fluids through a rotating screen. The system provides for effective two-phase separation of liquids and solids in on-shore as well as off-shore environments with an excellent track record in offshore drilling operations in the North Sea.
