Turning Finger Tapping into Sound

08 September 2017

Do you find yourself constantly drumming or tapping your fingers against objects to a sound only you can hear?

Now, you can turn that finger tapping into actual sound thanks to Specdrums' smart ring. The ring, which wirelessly connects to a smartphone app, translates this expression of one's inner rhythm into sound that can be turned into drum kit components, the keys of a piano or other synthesized noises.

The ring, which has been fully funded by a Kickstarter campaign, begins shipping in January of 2018.

Watch the accompanying video to see the ring in action.
